Guestbook...something vintage

Not hating on anyone who has had these before, but just not the biggest fan of those traditional white guestbooks with satin and flowers and lace and shells and all that.
So we were thinking of some unique way of capturing our guests comments and nice words but that's not cheesy and cliche.  We came across an idea in a Martha Stewart magazine of getting an old ledger or old school leather bound book (found a large portfolio by Moleskine) and having our guests play with a Polaroid or instant camera and capture an image of themselves and put it in the book next to what they have to say.
We thought it was such a cool and fun idea and very creative and interactive.  And then another idea floated in...
Since Graydon Hall Manor has that beautiful old English feeling and such a vintage aesthetic, we wanted something that would tie in with the decor, while still having somethign whimsical and unique.  So our guestbook isn't actually a "guestbook".  What our guests are going to write thier thoughts with is a vintage typewriter (which I'm sure most haven't used in ages, if ever!) and the sheets will later be bound into a great collection of our friends' and family's kind words, thoughts, advice, and wishes.  Very easy to put together and currently on the hunt for the perfect vintage typewriter, so if you know of anyone with one or a great vintage shop where to get one, give us a shout!
